Level 2 Award in MOT Testing (Classes 1 & 2)

To be eligible to undertake the MOT Testing Classes 1&2 qualification you must have the following:

• Minimum 4 years servicing and repairing vehicles in the classs which you intend to test upon
• Have no unspent convictions relating to the motor trade (including but not restricted to fraud, violence, intimidation
• Valid Full Driving Licence in class of vehicle you intend to test

MOT Testing (Classes 1&2) Course based at our dedicated training facility in Northampton it covers the following modules:

• Supporting Legislation / Regulations
• Tools for the Job
• Reasons for Refusing to Start a Test
• Use of Manual
• Standards and Procedures
• Documentation
• Use of a VTS Device
• Inspection Routine
• Brake Testing and Calculations
• Followed by an open multiple-choice exam – minimum 80% required to pass
• Practical assessment of students MOT routine
